Denmark will contribute another $5.8 million to the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine

Denmark will make an additional contribution of USD 5.8 million to the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine, bringing the total contribution to EUR 11 million, to help Ukraine maintain energy supplies amid widespread damage to energy infrastructure as a result of Russian attacks.

Denmark, which has contributed a total of 11 million euros to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine, will contribute another 5.8 million dollars to the Fund. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, UNN reports.

"Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko met with Minister of Climate, Energy and Utilities of the Kingdom of Denmark Lars Ogår, who arrived in Kyiv on an official visit. During the meeting, Herman Halushchenko informed his colleague about the current situation in the Ukrainian energy sector and the consequences of the latest hostile attacks," the statement said.

It is noted that Galushchenko thanked the Danish side for helping the Ukrainian energy sector, and Ogør, in turn, said that Denmark would contribute to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine.

"We are witnessing significant damage to Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Denmark is providing $5.8 million as a contribution to the necessary reconstruction so that Ukraine can maintain its energy supply," said Lars Ogår.

It is reported that Denmark has become the first donor to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine, contributing about 11 million euros to the Fund over two years.
