In Ternopil, the maximum permissible concentration of chlorine and hydrochloric acid in the air is still exceeded after a fire caused by an attack by Russian troops, the Ternopil Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported on Wednesday, UNN reported.

As of 10:30 a.m. on August 21, the chlorine and hydrochloric acid levels in the air in Ternopil city still exceed the maximum permissible concentration (MPC)
According to the center, the following was recorded:
- т. No. 1 - Ternopil, Novyi Svit, hydrochloric acid - 0.52 mg/m3 with a standard of 0.2 mg/m3;
- т. No. 4 - Ternopil, Biletska Street, chlorine was 0.6 mg/m3, while the norm was 0.1 mg/m3; hydrochloric acid was 0.52 mg/m3, while the norm was 0.2 mg/m3;
- т. No. 6 - Ternopil, Obyizna Street, chlorine was 0.3 mg/m3, while the norm was 0.1 mg/m3; hydrochloric acid was 0.21 mg/m3, while the norm was 0.2 mg/m3.
According to the results of the atmospheric air samples taken, the content of dust, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, and phenol was below the sensitivity of the device in accordance with the requirements of the order of the Ministry of Health.
"Follow the recommendations," the center urged.
As indicated, air quality measurements continue to be carried out in Ternopil district.
