The nuclear power plant is known as Shidaowan, has a high-temperature gas-cooled reactor and is located in the eastern province of Shandong. As specified, the NPP has been operating continuously in test mode for 168 hours and was officially put into commercial operation.
This shows that in terms of research, development and application of fourth-generation nuclear energy technologies, China has reached to the world's leading level
It is specified that the greatest advantage is safety in the field of electricity generation, and therefore such NPPs have broad prospects.
