The government has authorized advance payments of up to 70% of the cost of construction of fortifications, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said in a speech at a government meeting, UNN reports.
"We continue to strengthen our defense capabilities. Over the past 1.5 years, we have been constantly working to build strong defense lines along our border and in our regions," Shmyhal said.
According to him, the government is constantly allocating funds for the construction of new fortifications in various regions.
The decision to build certain fortifications is made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and communicates this need to the Ministry of Defense, local administrations and the Reconstruction Agency.
