The wife of the head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, Marianna, is still undergoing treatment after being poisoned with heavy metals in late November. This was reported by a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Andriy Yusov on the air of the national marathon, UNN reports.
According to him, Marianna's health is "acceptable", as well as that of the scouts who were also poisoned. She is constantly under medical supervision.
Yusov said that Ukrainian doctors noticed the signs of poisoning in time and prevented possible negative consequences. Marianna Budanova's treatment course will be long. However, her hospitalization has already ended.
In addition, Ukrainian intelligence changed the security protocol and took additional measures after the incident. Yusov did not say what they were.
"Of course, additional security measures have been taken, all the necessary actions and conclusions have been made," the DIU representative briefly explained.
He also noted that the process of investigation into the poisoning of Marianna and the scouts is not fast. When certain results are known, the public will be informed.
On November 28, it became known that the wife of the head of the DIU, Budanov, was poisoned with heavy metals. The substances found in the woman's blood are not used in everyday life or in the military. Their presence may indicate a deliberate attempt to poison a particular person.
