The Main Intelligence Directorate has provided details of the evacuation of 39 Ukrainian citizens from the Gaza Strip, UNN reports.
"On the instructions of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on December 8, 2023, another 39 citizens of our country - women and children - were evacuated from the Gaza Strip," the DIU said.

The mission to rescue the Ukrainians was carried out by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
According to the intelligence, the successful evacuation of our citizens from the conflict zone was made possible by the coordinated and precise actions of Ukrainian intelligence officers and diplomats.
The efforts made by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the State of Israel Yevhen Korniychuk were crucial in the implementation of the rescue operation.

As a reminder, in November 2023, 145 Ukrainian citizens were evacuated from Gaza.
