The reserve is located in the meadow and steppe areas near the village of Yemchyha in Obukhiv district, which will now be protected. Its area is 43 hectares.
In Denysenkiv Yar is home to many rare species of plants and animals. In particular, the Red Book feather grass hairy feather grass, pinnate feather grass, and woolly-flowered astragalus. There are also the following Red Data Book species insects - musk moustache, hairy staphylin, earth crusader moustache, carpenter bee, giant scolia, and luxurious scoop.
The territory of the is a nesting place for many species of birds. They also use this place as a resting place during their migrations.
The creation of the reserve will help preserve the landscape complex of the vicinity of the village of Yemchyha, protect populations of rare species of animals and plants, create recreational opportunities for locals and tourists, and prevent the deterioration of natural steppe habitats
