The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reports a fire at a military airfield in the Lipetsk region following a drone attack on the night of August 9. There are victims. Residents of nearby villages were evacuated. This was reported by UNN.
"The fire at the military airfield is number three," the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a statement.
The airfield is located near settlements that were previously evacuated.
"To ensure the safety of residents, it was decided to evacuate the settlements: Koptsevykhutor, Fedorovka, Yakovlevka, Tinkovka," said Governor Igor Artamonov.
That night, the authorities reported a massive drone attack, damage to an energy infrastructure facilitythat disrupted power supply, and "detonation of explosive devices.
To eliminate the consequences of the detonation of explosive objects, an emergency regime was introduced in the Lipetsk municipal district.
According to the governor, nine people were injured.

As journalist Denis Kazansky pointed out, they also tried to move Russian troops to Kursk at night through the Lipetsk military airfield. However, demilitarization took place there, and the airfield burned and exploded until the morning.
"Judging by the brightest fireworks, the Russian army suffered enormous damage," Kazansky added.
