КИЇВ. 1 лютого. УНН. Після спустошливих лісових пожеж Австралія, схоже, знову пробуджується до життя. Про це пишуть користувачі соцмережі Instagram, викладаючи фотографії перших паростків, що пробиваються на обвуглених деревах, передає УНН.

Так, користувачі публікують фото з популярних національних парків Австралії, постраждалих від стихії.

Нагадаємо, що масштабні лісові пожежі охопили східне узбережжя Австралії в середині жовтня минулого року. Станом на січень, вогнем були охоплені значні території на південному сході континенту в штатах Новий Південний Уельс і Вікторія, кілька регіонів на південному узбережжі закриті для туристів, а їх жителі отримали припис про термінову евакуацію.

У результаті пожеж було знищено близько 6 млн га лісу, близько 2 тис. житлових будинків і близько 3 тис. адміністративних і господарських будівель.

В Австралійському філії Всесвітнього фонду дикої природи (WWF-Australia) заявили, що в результаті масштабних пожеж в Австралії могли загинути близько 1,25 мільярда тварин. 

Крім того, як повідомляв раніше УНН, щонайменше 33 людини загинули.
