Ukraine expects that the European Commission will present a plan to use Russia's frozen sovereign assets to support Ukraine this month. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting, UNN reports.

He recalled that this week a bipartisan and bicameral group of members of Congress introduced a bill to confiscate the assets of sanctioned Russian oligarchs to help rebuild Ukraine.

According to him, both the assets of Russian oligarchs and sovereign assets of Russia should be subject to confiscation.
"This is the only way to show the Kremlin regime that its strategy of attrition will not work," Shmyhal said.
