20 thousand police officers and 7 thousand rescuers will be on duty during the Christmas and New Year holidays. The measures to to ensure order and public safety were reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, reports UNN.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 20 thousand police officers will be on duty to maintain law and order and monitor road safety throughout Ukraine. The main efforts of law enforcement officers will be directed to churches where services are held and places of and places of mass gatherings. The following units will be on duty Operational units.
In case of bad weather, there will be more than 7,000 rescuers and more than 2,000 pieces of of fire and rescue and special equipment, as well as 3 aircraft.
And in case of complications situation, the SES has provided for the possibility of strengthening its units to more than 11 thousand rescuers and about 5 thousand pieces of equipment.
