On New Year's Eve, russians hit Pokrovsk with rockets: two people were injured, including a child

On New Year's Eve, russians launched a missile attack on the city of Pokrovsk, injuring a young girl and a 70-year-old woman. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, UNN reports.

Details

According to the investigation, on December 31, 2023, the troops of the aggressor state attacked the city of Pokrovsk. The russian army fired 7 munitions at the city, probably from the S-300 missile system.

A 9-year-old girl sustained mine-blast injuries as a result of the shelling. She is currently hospitalized with a suspected concussion. A 70-year-old woman was also wounded. 

Under the procedural supervision of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, pre-trial investigations were initiated in criminal proceedings on violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Addendum

In addition, the shelling damaged 16 private houses, a gas pipeline, civilian cars and an ambulance. Information on other casualties and damage is currently being established.
