According to the investigation, in October, in one of the villages of the Bilyayivska community in Odesa district, a group of men planned a robbery attack on a married couple in a village in the Bilyayiv community of Odesa district. In preparation for the crime, they purchased several motorized vehicles, balaclavas, clamps, handcuffs, metal wire, and weapons.
At night, they broke into the the victims' home at night, beat the owner, tied up the man, the woman and their young son and daughter, the police added. Through intimidation, threats and beatings, they found out where the couple kept their jewelry, took money and jewelry, bank cards, several registered weapons and fled.

As a result of the investigation, law enforcement officers identified a native of the Bolhrad district. After searches and seizure of evidence, the suspect was detained and notified of suspicion. He faces up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
