The number of victims of the massive rocket attack on the capital has increased to 16. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, January 1 will be declared a day of mourning, UNN reports.
Klitschko emphasized that the attack on the capital on December 29 was the largest in terms of civilian casualties.
"As of now, 16 bodies have been removed from the rubble of a warehouse in Shevchenkivskyi district. Rescuers are continuing to work and will continue to dismantle the rubble until tomorrow," the mayor added.
He also announced that January 1 would be declared a day of mourning in Kyiv.
Earlier it was known that 32 people were injured. Currently, 17 of them are hospitalized in medical institutions of the capital.
