Over the past day, 155 battles took place on the frontline, including 30 enemy attacks in the Toretsk sector, 38 attacks were repelled in the Pokrovsk sector, 19 battles took place in the areas of Sotnytsia Kozachka, Hlyboke, Liptsi and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv sector, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a summary as of 8 a.m. on July 5, UNN reported.

According to updated information, over the past day, the enemy launched one missile attack on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, 59 air strikes (involving 111 combat aircraft), and fired over 4,000 times, 115 of them from multiple launch rocket systems.
"Over the past day, aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces conducted 13 air strikes on enemy manpower, destroyed two cannons, one ammunition depot, 3 areas of concentration of enemy personnel and weapons and military equipment," the General Staff said.

The enemy continued offensive (assault) actions in the Kharkiv sector. There were 19 combat engagements in the vicinity of Sotnytsia Kozachok, Hlyboke, Liptsi and Vovchansk.
In the Kupyansk sector, the number of attacks amounted to four over the last day. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults near Sinkivka, Stelmakhivka and Novoselivka.
In the Lyman sector, our troops repelled 14 occupants' attacks in the areas of Hrekivka, Makiivka, Terny and Nevske.
In the Siversk sector, the Defense Forces repelled 10 assaults near Bilohorivka, Verkhnekamianske, Klishchiyivka and Vyymka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped 17 enemy attempts to break through the defense in the areas of Kalynivka, Hryhorivka and Klishchiyivka.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 30 attacks near the localities of Pivnichne, Toretsk and Nyzhyk.
In the Pokrovske sector, our defenders repelled 38 assault attacks in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Kalynove, Progress, Lozuvatske, Novoselivka Persha, Yevhenivka, Umanske and Yasnobrodivka, where the invaders, supported by aviation, tried to force our units out of their positions.
In the Kurakhove sector, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the area of Heorhiivka, Krasnohorivka, Nevelske, and Paraskoviivka, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops 11 times.
On the Vremivsky direction, the enemy made seven attacks on our positions near Vodiane and Makarivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Orikhiv sector, two firefights took place in the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne.
On the Prydniprovskyi direction, the occupiers continue to try to drive the units of the Defense Forces from their positions on the bridgeheads. Two Russian attacks were unsuccessful.
In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, the operational situation remained unchanged. No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine.
"At the same time, our soldiers continue to actively inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line," the General Staff said.
