Details

On average, 715 thousand new microloans were registered per month in the third quarter. Compared to the decline at the beginning of the great war, this year the number of new loans in MFIs has increased this year. But this is still 1.7 times less than the corresponding average monthly figures for 2021 (1.23 million).

In 2023, the number of concluded agreements increased by 7% quarterly.

Another anti-record in the third quarter was the average size of a microloan UAH 4985. This is the largest amount since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and almost a third more than in the same period in 2021.

It is noted that microloan debt continues to grow: +6% per quarter. Thus, as of the end of September, Ukrainians' debts to MFIs reached 9.44 billion hryvnias. Even though Ukrainians have been actively repaying their debts during 2022 and significantly reduced the amount of total debt, this year it increased again, by UAH 1.4 billion. It is worth noting that more than half of the new debts - UAH 757 million - arose in the first quarter of this year.
