President Zelenskyy says he will not dissolve the Verkhovna Rada because elections cannot be held during the war, despite the lack of moral authority among MPs.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he could not dissolve the Verkhovna Rada because he could not hold parliamentary elections during a full-scale war. He said this during a final press conference, an UNN correspondent reports.

MPs should do their job, be moral authorities, but unfortunately this is not happening. What can I do as President? I cannot dissolve them, because then there will be elections. I cannot hold elections during the war.

- Zelensky explained.
