An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 has struck Indonesia. This was reported by Reuters with reference to the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ), reports UNN.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 120 km.
The Indonesian Disaster Mitigation Agency did not immediately respond to a request for comment when asked if any damage had been any damage had been done.

Indonesia is located in the "Pacific Ring of Fire", an area of high seismic activity that lies on top of several tectonic plates.
