Residents of Novorossiysk report hearing explosions and shooting. Local authorities say it is a training exercise, reported Russian media, UNN reported.
Around 11:55 explosions were heard, by about 12:20 they stopped, but automatic bursts of fire began, and now there is something very similar to a fire on the opposite side of the bay. The fire is just starting.

At the same time, the head of the Novorossiysk Civil Defense and Emergency Situations Department, Ihor Vasilyev, said that these were supposedly exercises and would be held near the Novorossiysk naval base every Saturday.
