The viburnum, which is one of the symbols of Ukraine, was planted in front of the European Parliament on the the initiative of the President of the European Parliament Roberta Mecola and MEP Petras Austrevicius. Together with Ruslan Stefanchuk, they took part in the the viburnum planting ceremony. The memorial plaque states that the planting of viburnum - is a sign of support and solidarity of the European Parliament with Ukraine.
It demonstrates a deep respect for the history, culture and values of the Ukrainian nation
