In the frontline, 117 combat engagements were registered over the last day. Russian troops were most active in the Pokrovske, Kramatorsk and Kharkiv directions. In the latter, fighting took place in the areas of Vovchansk and Hlyboke. This is stated in the report of the General Staff as of July 22, 8:00, reports UNN.
Yesterday, in total, the Russian aggressor launched three missile attacks (4 rockets), 72 air strikes (including 100 combat aircraft) and 1542 kamikaze drone strikes at the positions of our troops and populated areas, fired 4621 times at the positions of our troops, 135 of them from MLRS.
Aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces hit a control center, an ammunition depot, four artillery systems, two air defense systems, a radar station and 15 areas of concentration of occupants' personnel and military equipment.

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy continued active operations, a total of 12 combat engagements took place. The fighting took place in the areas of Vovchansk and Hlyboke.
In the Kupyansk sector , the enemy attacked the positions of our units 11 times. Defense forces repelled the assault near Sinkivka, Stelmakhivka, Berestove and in the direction of Hlushkivka.
In the Liman sector, our troops repelled 11 occupants' attacks near Makiivka, Nevske and Terny.
In the Northern sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled nine attacks near Verkhnekamianske and Vyymka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, our troops stopped 13 enemy attempts to break through our defenses, particularly in the areas of Chasovyi Yar, where more than half of these clashes took place, and Andriivka, Donetsk region.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy conducted eight attacks with the support of aviation near the localities of Pivnichne, Zalizne and Toretsk.
In the Pokrovske sector, our defenders repelled 39 offensive and assault actions. The enemy concentrated its efforts in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Novoselivka Persha, Novooleksandrivka, Progress, Kalynove and Umanske in the Donetsk region.
In the Kurakhove sector, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka and Paraskoviivka. Here, Russian troops tried to break through the defense of our troops seven times.
In the Vremivsk sector, the aggressor made one unsuccessful assault on our positions. At the same time, the enemy was extremely active in using attack and bombing aircraft in this area of the front, striking at the areas of Vuhledar, Katerynivka, Urozhayne, Staromayorske. Konstantinovka, Rozlyv, Neskuchne, Vremivka.
The occupants unsuccessfully stormed the positions of the Defense Forces three times in the Orikhiv sector, near Robotyne and Novodanylivka.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the enemy keeps trying to drive our units out of their positions. Ukrainian troops repelled three unsuccessful attacks by the aggressor.
In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, the operational situation remained unchanged. No signs of the formation of offensive groups of the occupiers were detected.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities.
"At the same time, our soldiers continue to inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy along the entire combat line and in its rear," the General Staff emphasized.
