Germany announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine, and Estonia announced potential additional funding for shells, ahead of a meeting in Ramstein on Ukraine's defense.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine before a meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine (Ramstein format), Radio Liberty reports, UNN writes.

There is progress in the area of ammunition. On the one hand, thanks to the Czech initiative, but we will also be able to announce another package here today. So, things are moving forward, sometimes in small, sometimes in bigger steps, but the main thing is the constant supply of ammunition

- Pistorius said on March 19 at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

Asked about progress on long-range Taurus missiles, Pistorius said there was "no news on that.

Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur, for his part, was quoted as saying that his country has "various options for sending more ammunition to Ukraine.

Perhaps we will find some more money to buy them outside Europe - I mean shells to send to Ukraine. And tomorrow I will be in Kyiv

- Pevkur noted.

Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov reportedly did not comment to journalists upon arriving at Ramstein Air Base.

The 20th meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense will take place today at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
