56,160 doses of Pfizer's COVID-19 Comirnaty vaccine were delivered to the regions to provide free vaccinations for adults and children aged 5 to 12 years old from the company. More than 16 million Ukrainians have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

56,160 doses of vaccines against Comirnaty covid vaccines were distributed to regional centers for disease control and prevention for for free vaccinations. UNN reports this with reference to the Ministry of of Health.

Details

The Comirnaty vaccine was delivered vaccine from Pfizer has been delivered. It is intended for vaccination of adults and children aged 5 to 12 years old.

We have also started delivering regions with the "omicron-specific" vaccine against COVID-19. This is an updated version of the Comirnaty vaccine from the American company Pfizer, adapted specifically to protect against the "Omicron" strain of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. 

The Ministry of Health reminded that vaccination is free of charge.

In general, the following vaccines are used for free vaccines used for free vaccinations in Ukraine are Janssen by Johnson&Johnson, Comirnaty vaccine from Pfizer, CoronaVac vaccine from Sinovac Biotech). There is also a COVID-19 vaccine available for children from the age of 5. (Pfizer's Comirnaty vaccine for children). 

As of today, there are reportedly in the country, 16 422 034 Ukrainians have received one dose of the vaccine against COVID-19, 15 540 771 people have received two vaccinations. Only 3 267 536 people have been booster vaccinated and completed the primary vaccination course, which is necessary for the formation of immunity against coronavirus infection.

Reminder

General recommended course of primary vaccination against COVID-19 and the first booster - three vaccinations. The first booster is administered 5 months after the initial vaccination. For the group at risk of severe COVID-19 is recommended to receive an additional booster if more than 6 months have passed since the previous booster. The need for an additional booster vaccination is determined by a doctor.
